Ray Stevens CabaRay Nashville returns to KET2
Hello fans of Ray Stevens!! Out of the blue yesterday evening I learned that a local PBS station brought back episodes of Ray's country music/talk series, CabaRay Nashville. The local PBS station, WCVN, carries programming affiliated with Northern Kentucky PBS network, KET. That acronym stands for Kentucky Educational Television. There are several sub-affiliates to KET and Ray's series previously aired on, and has returned to, KET2. The difference this time around is instead of one episode airing weekly on a Saturday night they're airing back to back Saturday nights during the 8pm hour. The episodes will then repeat early Monday mornings during the 2am hour. As of now the KET2 program page for Ray's show lists episodes airing through August 7th. I don't know if this return is temporary just to fulfill some sort of agreement on the total number of repeats left to air on that specific local PBS affiliate... which is what I thought about when I seen that the episodes will be airing back to back. All of this is speculation as I have no information about such things. I'm just happy that the series is airing on a local PBS affiliate once again. I'll periodically check back on the KET2 webpage and see if they'll be adding additional episodes and make a blog post about it. The episodes began repeating last night (July 15th). It was the Reed Robertson episode...one of the several episodes referred to as a Patriotic Episode. Also, the repeats that are listed through August 7th all come from Season 4. The upcoming episodes set to repeat on KET2 include ones guest starring Jeannie Seely, Don McLean, Ray Hildebrand, John Berry and others. Episodes of the show still air weekly on Ray's YouTube channel...so you might be wondering why my excitement of episodes returning to a local PBS affiliate. Well, it's because there's typically a different audience that watches TV than those who frequent on-line video sites. When the show is airing on the internet as well as on local PBS affiliates it's covering all age groups.
