Ray Stevens: Half an Hour from the CabaRay Re-Opening...

Hello all fans of Ray Stevens!! As I begin typing this blog entry we're half an hour away from the CabaRay kicking off it's 2021 season. The Piano Bar gets things started at 5pm Central. Those who selected dinner will begin to be seated at 5:30pm. Those who selected the concert only will be allowed entry into the main concert area at 6:30pm. The concert itself begins at 7:30pm Central (8:30pm Eastern). The plated dinner and the ambience of the CabaRay harkens back to the intimate showrooms of Las Vegas. The venue is a dinner theater with table seating on what's called the Main Floor. There are red leather booths situated around the corners of the CabaRay. Each booth is named after a legendary record producer in country music. The Piano Bar is also named for someone...it's official name is The Bill Lowery High Spirits Emporium. Take a look at the fine dining inside the CabaRay...notice the presentation of the food and the presence of a wine list. Yes, the CabaRay serves drinks outside of the Piano Bar, too. You can also purchase Ray's own line of CabaRay Wine. Ray uploaded a video about the wine back in 2018 (it includes footage of inside the Piano Bar) and I'm going to upload the video again since it's been several years since I made mention of their availability...

In the LINK you'll see photo's of the Main Floor where the tables are seated around the stage. You'll also see Ray's red piano...it gives you the idea of what tables are closest to the stage. You'll also see a photo of the balcony seats...a bird's eye view from the balcony reveals that there's no really, really bad seat in the CabaRay. However, when my brother and I attended a concert there in 2018 we saw several people who were at tables where Ray's back is facing them move their chairs away from the table for a different view. I don't know why there are tables placed on that side of the stage...although there's several video screens available for those who prefer to watch the concert as if it's being shown on television. The screens hang along the balcony (you'll see them in the photo) and there's a large screen that hangs above the stage for the insertion of pre-recorded footage into the concert and it also doubles as a larger view of Ray for balcony customers.

As I conclude this blog entry it's several minutes after 6pm here in the East...5pm Central...that means the Piano Bar inside the CabaRay showroom is open! As I type this I can imagine people walking into the main entrance of the CabaRay and making their way to the Piano Bar area. Soon, some of them will make their way to the gift shop and others at 5:30pm will find their tables on the Main Floor and await their platted dinner. The 2021 season of Ray Stevens concerts at the CabaRay is officially underway when the doors opened at 5pm.
